I've worked extensively as a tutor in the sciences with students at all levels (elementary school, high school, post-graduates, etc.). I have a substantial breadth of knowledge when it comes to mathematics and science, and am adept at working with students on a wide range of standard and advanced coursework therein. I've helped students in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Biology (including Microbiology & Biochemistry), Chemistry (including Organic & Honors), Physics, and Psychology. I'm fascinated by the interconnections between the sciences, particularly within biochemistry and psychology, and find teaching these subjects to be the most interesting. I'm also skilled at helping high school students with ACT prep in Reading. I believe strongly in the importance of inquiry, and I move my students to think deeply about the inner workings of a subject, pushing them to constantly ask questions in order to arrive at answers. I work to make a broad range of resources and learning tools available to my students, specifically in the realm of technology, in order to honor different strengths and modes of learning. I work hard to implement a diversity of teaching techniques in order to meet students' varied needs. I graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Neuroscience, with a focus on pre-medical studies. I'm currently working on research of Alzheimer's disease and other cognitive disorders. I enjoy watching sports and keeping fit. I'm also a fan of documentaries and relaxing on my hammock with a good book on philosophy.
